about us...We have had malamutes since 1997, and Kennel Juneau has existed since 2002.All the work with dogs and kennel was started by Karsten Schmidt and Bitten Poulsen. Karsten is no longer among us. See more about Karsten under “the ones we miss” Bitten continues kennel Juneau with assistance from Claus. Bitten I am the one in charge of the kennel business: planning, breeding, genetics, washing, grooming, showing, and exercise - all the big decisions… I like to spend the spare time reading a good book, nursing the flowerbeds or spending time with good friends. I have had my own horse for 15 years, so for me it was not difficult to choose an outdoor breed. For me a life without dogs are not an option… Claus I am the one doing the cuttling, taking the walks, repairing the fence, carrying the heavy crates and tent at shows… and is very patient… I like to use the spare time on the motorbike, the old VW Golf I, and as administrator at the website for VAGCARS.dk. A voluntary association for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Porsche. Other dogs in my life has been German Shephard – It has been a brand new experience to be introduced to the malamute….. both of us..We both work at Novo Nordisk A/S, which is one of the leading companies in diabetes treatment.We work at the site, where production of the single use devises are moulded. Bitten is a Quality and Metrology Engineer, working as support to the production, responsible for developing, purchasing , qualifying the measuring equipment used for approving the moulding production at the Danish site and at contractors worldwide. Claus is an automatic technician , working at the assemply lines, responsible for the production runs as smoothly as possible… also involved in cLEAN – tools to proceed and improve the processes and technics to reduce scrap, energy and costs. |
